Lathe-turned brass
I recently got 2 boxes of lathe-turned brass and am curious as to who may have made them. No marking or label at all on the boxes, and no head stamp. The boxes are kind of squatty instead of the usual long, rectangular ammo box and are printed in a linen-looking beige color. Anyone have an idea? Red Willow? TIA. Emery

Pictures would sure help. Also, post this in the "Ask the Experts" side. Iconoclast is the resident AMMO Specialist. He commonly checks there for these types of questions. Good luck.
Edit- dimensions would be very usefull as well.0 -
I'd bet Emery already knows the cartridge ID. [?] For you folks who haven't had the pleasure of conversing with him, he's very, very knowledgeable about BP cartridges and the rifles which used them.
Source? Photo might help, but there are so many low profile operations which do such work, I'm not hopeful.0 -
I have a funeral to drive some distance to tomorrow, so might not be able to post pictures until Wed. Teak, you are making me blush; I never consider myself all that knowledgable as I am always learning something new. My philosophy is mostly moderation and common sense, coupled with learning experiences. Emery 0
