Primer and Sizing Test Targets (Pics)
Bullets - ALL 69 gr Sierra HPBT
OAL - same
Brass - Same (sized differently)
Powder - ALL Accurate 2230C
Primers - 6 different primers used
Rifle - Savage Model 12, single shot, bull barrel
Triggerman - me - aka "4 shot"
One run of five rounds of each primer, partial full length size (80% of neck sized) shot at 100 yards.
One run of five rounds of each primer, full length size, shot at 100 yards.
Partial full length sized cases with CCI 450, 400, Benchrest, "41", Winchester, & Fed 205 primers. I made a windage correction after the first 4 groups (last time rifle was shot at prairie dogs at the 500 yardage with a gentle Nebraska wind).

...and...for fun...
My best 100 yard group....hence the nickname - 4 shot...
....and a 300 yard group using Sierra 60 gr "Varminter" bullets.

Some good shooting dcloco. I've seen alot of difference in just a primer change over the years also.
What caliber where you shooting? I'm guessing a 223 Rem. with those bullets [;)].
I just read your post on the Reloading Bench thread.
Now I'm positive you were shooting 223 Rem. [:D].0 -
Tremblor - more variance than I thought.
Yep...223 it is.
I REALLY like reloading...and of course the shooting part as well.

If that's a factory Savage bbl I'm assuming it's a 1-9" twist.
Seems to be doing a good job of stabilizing those 69gr pills. Out of curiosity,Ever tried anything heavier in it? If so how did they shoot?
About 69gr is where most 1-9"s have started to lose accuracy for me in the 223 Rem.0 -
No sir, have not used heavier pills.
I need to stay in this range for the distance that I am shooting....100 to 600 yards....on prairie dogs.0
