Anyone have 6mm Ackey improved pet loads
Hello, new to the site.Just built a 6mm ai on a win model 70 action with a lilja 1/12 twist. Have been to range and fire formed my brass and broke in barrel. I plan on shooting 70 to 90 grain pills and would love to find a good starting load for accuracy. I just retired my 220 swift and rifle that can reach out and touch grounhogs any loads would be a big help.

Most all the 6mm Ackleys I've worked with like H-4350 the best, with Federal 210 match primers to light it. 45.0 grains would be a good start to see if your rifle will take it, and then go up from there.
Factory 87 grain V-Max's from Hornady do a nice job, along with the Sierra 85 grain BTHP.
If your looking for the best accuracy, check out the Fowler, and Berger 80 grain flat base bullets.
Midway has a shipping deal on the Bergers from now until the end of the month.0
