Kapoc over powder?
Many yaers ago I read where that a small piece of fluffy kapoc placed in the cartridge after the powder and before the bullet, will pack the powder up against the primer - thus making for better shot to shot uniformity. I did this for a time and it seemed to work. Then I read that the kapoc wasn't doing my barrel any good. What's up with this?
Are there any other unpublished things we can do for better shot to shot performance?

Hodgdon has come out with a pistol powder called Titegroup. It is made and touted that it isn't as position sensitive as older powders. 0 -
as I understand it when kapoc or any other synthetic fibers are subjected to great heat and pressure they are reduced to a almost liquid form and can 'ring' a chanber due to hydralic pressure, if you need a filler for a large volume case you should use either cottom or some other organic fiber or granule (corn meal, cream of wheat, ect.). 0 -
Ditto what Mike Whiskey said.
Might try looking at this stuff for a filler also : www.pufflon.com ( 1-800-369-4518 ).0
