16 Ga Load

I am looking for a factory load for the 16 Ga that at one time was quite popular. It was considered a "mid-range" or field load...it had 1 1/8 oz of shot and 2 3/4 Dr of powder. I have read that this was the "perfect load" for a 16 but I cannot seem to find it anymore. At one time Winchester loaded this in their Expert line and Remington loaded it under their Sure-Shot line. Any ideas where this can be purchased? Many Thanks!

  I saw some 1 1/8 oz 16ga 2 3/4 dram field/hunting loads at a Walmart last fall around Oct./Nov. I believe they were Federal brand. -- I think Fiocchi still sells them in 3 dram and 3 1/4 dram ( a little hotter ) field loads. Not sure about the 2 3/4 dram.............good luck......
