49.0 grains of Varget would be a good place to start a 110 grain bullet in a 308

    How do, Wynn.

While it is not a Sierra, the Speer #13 manual lists 46 to 48 grains Varget with all three of their 110 grain bullets. The 48 grain load is compressed.

    Hope this helps.

    Wynn,
I also found data for a 110 Barnes X bullet, and it starts at 48.0 grains, and maxes at 50.0.
Those bullets build up a lot more pressure than your 110 Sierra HP will build, so you could safely use the original 49.0 grains I mentioned to start your bullet on it's way.
A Sierra 125 grain Sp is also at 50.0 for max.
No where did I notice a compressed load at 48 grains.
    Be safe.....
