My 22-250 has a 1-14 twist. It will shoot 55 grain bullets fairly well, around MOA. It shoots 52 HPBT's better. 60 grain bullets are tumbling at 100 yards. 0 -
My 722 LOVES the 52s 0 -
Don't expect the 55 grain BT's to stabilize except at maximum possible velocities. 0 -
The 222 with a 1-14" twist is better suited to 40-52 grain bullets. A 1-12" twist usually works better with the 55 gr bullets at 222 velocities. Some bbls will however shoot the 55 gr pretty well. -- Don't know unless you try your bbl........... -- FYI : The 22-250 and 220 Swift do better with 55gr bullets in their standard 1-14" twist because of the extra velocity. It adds faster RPM to the bullets and helps to stabilize them better with that twist.....good luck....[8D] 0
