50 or 55 grn winchester fmjbt

hi i have been loading winchester 50 grain bullets for my 222 sako 1/14 twist how do you think the 55 grain fmjbt will fly out of the 1/14 twist anyone had any luck or problems let me know thanks alot

  My 22-250 has a 1-14 twist. It will shoot 55 grain bullets fairly well, around MOA. It shoots 52 HPBT's better. 60 grain bullets are tumbling at 100 yards.

  Don't expect the 55 grain BT's to stabilize except at maximum possible velocities.

  The 222 with a 1-14" twist is better suited to 40-52 grain bullets. A 1-12" twist usually works better with the 55 gr bullets at 222 velocities. Some bbls will however shoot the 55 gr pretty well. -- Don't know unless you try your bbl........... -- FYI : The 22-250 and 220 Swift do better with 55gr bullets in their standard 1-14" twist because of the extra velocity. It adds faster RPM to the bullets and helps to stabilize them better with that twist.....good luck....[8D]
