I just bought 2 used Rifle's in 35 Whelen cal.

I have never bought 2 rifles of the same Cal. on the same day, A friend of mine was selling his old style Ruger in 35 whelen. and we agred on a price but he was going out of town fer the week end so had to wait till monday to get it (I hate waiting) Any way another friend had a Mouser with a custom barrel that he had made up about 25 years ago, he only wanted $200.00 fer it, so thats how I ended up with 2 whelens, he also tosed in a bunch of brass, slugs and a set of dies.I have a bunch of reloads made up but will have to wait till the Ice melts at the range, I dont get around to good any more. I have both of them fer about the price of a new Ruger. HAHAHAHAHAH I LOVE IT.

  Yes, post the results of your trigger time. I'd be interested to see how the Ruger stacks up against the custom barrel mauser.

  When the snow and Ice goes away at the range, I'll let you all know. That Ruger is a beautiful Rifle, Old style with tang safty Blueing is great and it also has a Borden Stock on it.The Mauser has the original barrel Just been turned down on the lathe and drilled and rifeled and chambered for the 35 whelen, and a Ram Line plastic stock. It is a custom rifle but not a high dollar one.
