I just bought 2 used Rifle's in 35 Whelen cal.
I have never bought 2 rifles of the same Cal. on the same day, A friend of mine was selling his old style Ruger in 35 whelen. and we agred on a price but he was going out of town fer the week end so had to wait till monday to get it (I hate waiting) Any way another friend had a Mouser with a custom barrel that he had made up about 25 years ago, he only wanted $200.00 fer it, so thats how I ended up with 2 whelens, he also tosed in a bunch of brass, slugs and a set of dies.I have a bunch of reloads made up but will have to wait till the Ice melts at the range, I dont get around to good any more. I have both of them fer about the price of a new Ruger. HAHAHAHAHAH I LOVE IT.

Yes, post the results of your trigger time. I'd be interested to see how the Ruger stacks up against the custom barrel mauser. 0 -

When the snow and Ice goes away at the range, I'll let you all know. That Ruger is a beautiful Rifle, Old style with tang safty Blueing is great and it also has a Borden Stock on it.The Mauser has the original barrel Just been turned down on the lathe and drilled and rifeled and chambered for the 35 whelen, and a Ram Line plastic stock. It is a custom rifle but not a high dollar one. 0 -
