Honest pumpkin, it followed me home! Rem 700 w/pic
Not perfect condition, but not bad either. I posted about eyeing this for a couple of months. She is home.
Cleaned up nice. Of note, the barrel touchs the groove at the 7.30 position in the forend.
I added the scope...only one I had laying around. Good enough to run 50 rounds through her.
If I end up not getting groups out of her, I will rebarrel in something else...like 6.5x55, 6.5x284, or 6.5x06.

Forgot my question. Any way to figure out manufacture date on this one? Serial number is C6335XXX. 0 -
do a serch on ask the experts, date of mgf. is determined by the letter code on the side of the barrel. nice rifle (honest honey, I've had this for years), what cal.? BTW most sporter weight barrels group better with a little up pressure at the forend. 0 -
dcloco,
Sorry, I missed what caliber it was originally in. Nice looking rifle by the way. I always liked the walnut stocks over the synthetics. even if they aren't as durable.0 -
270 Winchester is the caliber.
I think I know the date now...January of 1986.0 -
Thats a nice rifle. 270 is a great Cal. I hope it shoots well for you so you don't have to spend the exta bucks for a new barrel.
Sig2320 -
Sig232...well..looks like you called it. The last group was tighter than this....200 yards to boot.
