process to get FFL?

what is the process I would have to take to geta FFL license? How long does this process take? thanks,

  Contact your local BATF&E office and request an application for the FFL. You must also be sure that going into the firearms business is acceptable where you live or plan to open a shop; you must meet all zoning requirements. RJSnow
