    brier-49,

    From Hodgdon:

    H335
This is a very popular spherical propellant manufactured by Olin. H335 is an equivalent of Olin's WC844. This powder enjoys an enviable reputation in cartridges like the PPC's, 222, and 223 Remington. Nomenclature establishment has become unclear. Obviously it was some reference to relative burning speed. It is similar to the slightly slower burning BL-C(2). It currently can be found on dealer shelves as both newly manufactured or as an excess made to military specifications. Hodgdon suggests this powder as a strong candidate for the 308 Winchester and the 35 Remington.

H335T originated as a military powder, used for the 5.56 NATO, or 223 Remington as handloaders know it. Obviously, it sees endless use in the 222 Remington, 223 Remington and other small cartridges. In particular, prairie dog shooters will find this a favorite, as J.B. Hodgdon has for years! Available in 1 lb. & 8 lb. containers.

So, realistically, all you have to do is check on loads for the 30-06 Springfield featuring H-335. Start low and work up slowly. This is a fast ball powder so the load density will top out at about 80% of full. Be careful. This powder was developed for the .223 Rem.

    Best.

Don't know if your looking for bolt action loads or M1 Garand loads, but there is loading data for H335 powder in a 30.06 M1 Garand listed in the Hornady Sixth Edition Reloading Manual. There is also H335 data in the Lyman Manuals and in at least one other manual I have. -- Don't have any data listed as WC844..............[:(]
