240/SWC .44 Mag. Target Load & Hot Load
Just loaded a box of 240/SWC .44Mag. 5.6g/700x
I've been out of the reloading business for 20+ years and am
getting my sons interested in reloading (actually they are
chomping at the bit). The 240s are a bit big (but I have a
ton of them). I loaded these up a little mild - 6.0 is Rec/Max.
Anyone out there have a pet load for 240g or 200g, 225g??
I have a goodly amount of 700x, 4656, Unique and Bullseye.
What say you?
(Oh, and the 1200 DPS worked flawlessly)

I'm using 200 grain XTP, 27.1 gr IMR 4227, Federal case, Rem primer. In a 10" contender. Took the load right out of contender load manual. 0 -
I like 240 SWC on 16.6 gr of Blue Dot for my old Ruger SBH, but I'm looking for something else for my 3" Taurus. What primers are you using Zipperzap? 0 -
I load a lot of lead 240-255 gr lead with 8.5 gr Unique and 240 jsp and jhp with 23 gr H110 with a magnum primer. 0
