Pinfire ammo

I assume it's not available, so does anyone remake it? Else these weapons are just not fired anymore.

I have not heard of any modern pinfire ammo production at all.
A likely reason for this could be that loose pinfire ammo will fire if the pin is struck or the cartridge falls on it (the same reason the system was abandoned about a century back).

It's labor intensive but you can make some cartridges by drilling the brass base at an angle and inserting a percussion cap so a nail thru the drilled hole will set it off when struck by the hammer. Load as usual. I've not done this, but have a friend who has made a few cartridges up in this manner. Emery

IIRC Fiochi still makes 1 or 2 loadings of PF ammo. A couple things to ask yourself is "is this old gun still safe", "will I distroy any value it has by firing it? etc. You know, just the basic questions.
