Mine was 1 in 12. It was pretty much limited to 60 and under.

if it is 1/12 try 40 or 45 gr,had good luck with a T/C barrel with that twist. if you want to measure twist, make a line straight up your cleaning rod, stara new bore brush in the barrel, make aline around the rod, start with first line on top when the line comes around to the top again make another line around the rod an measure between the two lines.

gun control is not about guns, it is about CONTROL!

    Snellstrom,

I would stick with the 55-60 gr. range for that rifle. Best velocity/accuracy combo. By accuracy in this case I mean droppoff. What you gain in BC you lose twice in loss of velocity. Long range shots with heavy stuff in a Ruger won't work really well. With a good accurized Ruger shooting 55's near max will get you consistently out to 500 yds. You will need to start allowing for a reasonable amount of drop @ 300 yds.

We have the second amendment so that all the rest are secure....UNK>

I liked a 40gr Speer TNT in mine, for groundhogs and prairie dogs.
There is a simple trick to determine the twist. Respond if you want me to post that trick.
