[8D]--Yo richbug, you're right AA2230c is very cheap, because of Gov't contracts. However if you use it very carefully-slowly and using a digital (careful) powder measure--it is benchrest accurate for -at least .223 and .243---[:)][:)]

I'm only wearing Black untill they make something darker

I have had excellent results in 223 and 308 with the 2230c, but it is just too fast for my taste in 243, 7x57, 6.5x55, and 30 calibers with 165's and 180's. I don't have a digital scale, but with a good beam,
it stays within .1 grains or less when thrown through my measure, plenty good for blasting ammo.

[8D]Yo richbug, like I said you have to be VERY careful, even with a digital scale-in that 3-4-5 granules can mean different burnrates and even slight velocity diffs , but also with time and care it is EXTREMELY accurate powder-at loads-now without measuring (MATCH).223 cases and using CCI smale rifle (CCI-BR4) primers I've got .209" 5-shot/100yd grps with my Rem 700--go fig--JIMBO

With winchester brass, 55 grain bulk sp bullets, cci400's, and 25.5 grains of 2230c I am getting sub .75" or less everytime without the hassle of trickling powder and weighing every charge. Shooting them out of a CZ527, yes I can do better by weighing the charges, but don't think I need to when it averages .5" groups.

I believe he is asking about Accurate data powder #86 not 2230c.
I would like to know if anyone has used it yet as well
