need parts for a shotgun press
i got an MEC super 250 shotgun press from my great uncle, i havent found any other parts for it, other than what it was set up for at the time when he stopped reloading, theres a 12 gauge bar on it, but the problem is, i dont have a 12 gauge, i'd like to get a bar for 16 gauge or 20 gauge, but from what i read on the MEC site this press has been out of production for over 40 years, are there any of MEC's current models which would have parts that are interchangable with my press?
on another note, i have a CH rifle press, but the threads on the handle have become worn, i have a full set of taps and dies, but i dont want to risk crossthreading it using the wrong die, does anyone know if the thread on the handle is a standard bolt thread?

I have an old C&H press that is threaded 1/2-20 on the handle.
Cabela's sells the Multi-Scale Universal Charge Bar that fits the Mec 250 super. Product # is XR- 21-0695, $29.99.

Sorry, Cabelas item number was from 2004 catalog. New number is IF-210695, $33.99. Can use link you posted and description "charge bar" or item number IF-210695

I don't think the problem is the bar.......Your problem is that it is a 12 gauge reloader......the sizer, deprimer, wad guides, etc. are all 12 gauge........you will need a complete overhaul kit for this one.....cheaper to buy a Mec 600 in what you want........
You can't control the wind, but you can adjust your sails.....0 -
