Need 45 LC loading data with Clays
I have 2 lbs of Clays and need to come up with a light load for 250 gr lead bullets. This is for cowboy action shooting so I need to keep them light.

data from Hodgdon website.
I'd use those bullets in a rifle IF they are rnfp and get lighter ones for the handgun.I've shot some 165 grainers in my sixguns and they feel like .38's.165 grainers are not bad either.A lot of recoil has to do with the mass of the bullet or shot charge.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of switching to a 200 gr lead and using it in both the rifle and pistols.

before ya load a zillion of em make sure the rifle will feed 'em well.some rifles are picky that way.Make sure they're flat points too, don't want a mag tube KABOOM ya know.
