What?! You don't know?!?!? Try emailing Jaque Chirac, Now that Iraq won't be buying from him for a while, I hear he might be willing to cut a deal.

    i know how very easy..

but why do you want to know?

it's something we won't tell everyone especially when they ask about Uranium and how to make Thermite

Me and my friends like to play in the woods and a smoke screen is a great way to launch an assault or to pull back.

You can tell me. I only need the uranium 235 to make electricity. I probably dont even need half a pound. And I need the thermite to keep warm...it is winter.

So how do you make a smoke flare and thermite?

Im if you couldnt tell, I was kiding about the uranium 235.

    Silent Knight..
    Thermite in it's original form..:
25% fine Aluminum powder and 75% fine powdered IronOxide. (pure and simple rust)

    Or..
    Some say..
3 Parts Finely powdered Aluminum and 8 parts Finely powdered IronOxide. (rust)

Well, in order to set it off, start the process by lighting a piece of thin magnesium.
That is just about the only thing that burns hot enough to set off the process.
You won't be able to do it with a blowtorch.

    Smoke?
    You got it... (by volume)
One part Potassium Nitrate (Also called "SaltPeter")
    Two parts sugar.

Heat this mixture over a LOW flame until it melts stirring well.
Pour it into a future container and before it solidifies imbed a
few matches into the mixture to use as fuses.

Be carefull with the amounts you use, as just one pound of this
stuff will fill up a whole block with thick white smoke!

You should be able to get the Potassium Nitrate in a 50lbs sack - in it's pure form too. As it is an excellent way to enrich your gardenplants, kind of like manure.

Don't do anything that I've allready done - That'd be just plain STOOOOOOPID.

The only way to get stoned??? - Whisky on the rocks.!!

I can also give you a recipe on how to make your own Potassium Nitrate, that is if you're bright enough to do so.
It takes quite a few things and some energy, I'd rather just buy the Potassium Nitrate.

Maybe ask a farmer for it, as he might use it for his fields as growth-enhancers/dirt or earth-enricher.

What types of casings do you use or recommend?

And for the thermite, how could you get that into a putty or maleable form for shaped applications?

  • SilentKnight
Ohh ya I forgot that. Do you need to put the smoke mix in a casing...kinda like a firecracker?

Never made sgaped charges of this anyway =o)

Only used it as powder, It's great to start a fire on slightly wet or damp wood.
But I would rather use homemade Napalm.

Potassium Nitrate is also bird droppings aka guano (sp)

Back 20 yrs ago we were doing alot of aluminum machining.
Some bright one put all of his shavings into a metal drum and set it outside.
The drum stayed outside for about a year uncovered, the rain and mosture drained out from the bung hole on the bottom.
After a while the machined aluminum corrored into alumiunm oxide.

Then some other idoit was smoking outside and threw his butt into the drum.
Needless to say that drum caught fire, it burnt a super hot pure white flame.
As the aluminum oxide was burning it was also melting the steel drum like it was butter.
Called the Fire Dept, it took them over a hour to put out that drum, they had to call in for a foam truck to put it out.
Also the cement under the drum exploded and shattered at lest a 8 ft cirlce.
    Neat stuff.
