If your talkin about length why you want the longest. It wont help a barrel to be longer than 12 or 14 inch max. 10 mininum though. Too much length and it caused friction problems. Ball needs six to eight inches to get to speed then four inches for guidance the rest is just friction. Saw that in a study somewhere. But my buds 16 inch barrel seems to do alright. I know. I just want something that looks bad ass. I have my 12" J&J stainless for serious play, Right now I am trying to build a marker based purely on cool looks. [:D]

Oh I got ya there. I went through a real mental battle with that too. Bad a$$ lookin marker or just functional. Came to a understanding somewhere inbetween. Totally understand that one. I played for along time with whatever matched my gun most or looked the badest. But today I play with a elcheapo j&j ceramic. Have other barrels some cost over hundred dollars but like the j&j the most. Even better than my boomstick.

why would you want the biggest dye boomstick waste of money
Dye Excell barrel really really good barrel for the mag and there cheap 12.0 plus shipping..

Dont go over 14 inches.
I have shot an 8 inch freak out of a impulse and it shot great.

I have serious barrels for the mag already. I have my 8" speedball barrel (barely sticks out of my minimag) and my 12 J&J, and somewhere another 8" armson Stealth, that's a good barrel too. I just think on my setup a 14-18" dye boomstick would look really freaking coo... if I can get one cheap enough.
