...the smell of Varget after it burns up?
Just wondering, I'm headed up stairs to load up the "needle" gun, my 17 rem that's on it's way and the guy already gave me all the load data. I'll be shooting in no time.
Anyone got any other good 25 grain bullet loads for the 17?

IMHO any powder made by Mulwex in Australia is a wonderful experience. Varget is one of them. The surplus Aussie 308 is a cheaper fix. Dump 100 rounds out of the old FAL in a hurry then inhale quickly. Some people sniff wine corks, I have been know to sniff recently fired brass to see what it smells like. Wolf gives me a head ache, Indian ammo smells like burnt fecal matter, South african ammo smells strongly of ammonia.

I just pray the wind is not in my face when I'm at the range round after round. Of course, I get a faceful when I shoot at a critter cause the wind is almost always in my face.
