.45 Blackhawk Needs Help
My Blackhawk has a problem with the base pinsliding out during firing.First notice this last month. Ordered new Base pin assembly, base pin latch body, base pin latch nut and base pin latch spring, all from Ruger and installed with no problems. Went shooting today and it is still doing the same thing. this is a 1974 pre-warning gun in good shapeand no other problems that I know of. Anybody got ideas on what I can do? Thanks for your help

SEND IT TO RUGER . THEY WILL DO THE WORK FOR YOU. 0 -
mopar-Go to www.Brownells.com. Search for base pin. They sell several oversize pins that can easily be fitted to your revolver, and will stay put while firing. This is a common occurance with SAAs - Ruger, Colt, and clones. While you're at Brownells pages, look at the steel ejector rod guides and the new ejector rods with oversized heads. You don't need to spend the $$$ shippig your gun back to Ruger. Save the bucks and spend it on ammo! 0 -

Hey luger01,need to ask you a ? or two. I went to the Brownell's website and found the Belt mountain pin as Antiquedr suggested.Could you tell me who makes the steel ejector rod guides and the ejector rods w/oversized head(s). Also when you mentioned the ejector rod guide, are you referring to the actual housing itself? Don't want to sound ignorant just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing. Thanks Mopar 0
