What's your target distance? I don't know what Kimber's testing set-up is, but if it shoots that low I'd certainly call 'em & ask.I bought a Classic Custom Target earlier this year that - at 25 yards - only required two clicks on the rear sight to center groups using a "bullseye" hold.

I tried 7, 10, and 15yds and got anywhere between 4.5 to 6 inches low. I just called Kimber; a new sight is on the way. If it is the same height, I'll send the slide in for a lower sight.

Take a good file with you next time you go to the range. File the front sight down alittle, test fire, go slow and easy till you get it........

several problems arise if you file the front sight; you will never get the dark matte finish back, no matter what cold bluing you use- it will always be shiny on top, which is distracting. Also, if you have 3-dots, you will end up with a half-moon in front!

I might try a file on the front sight, but not until my replacement gets here.

Change the way you hold your handgun... When I first started shooting non-revolver handguns I used to shoot "Cup and Saucer," and had many problems including shooting low. A gun shop dealer showed me how to hold it right, I really can't explain, but It drastically improved not only that problem but my whole concept on pistol shooting.

The sight is still "in the mail" according to Kimber. I took some pics of my Ultra muzzle to muzzle with my full size Classic to compare the front sight heights.Roy http://content.communities.msn.com/rballipics/shoebox.msnw?Page=6 http://content.communities.msn.com/rballipics/shoebox.msnw?Page=5
