Eagle Gun Co. tommy gun

I have a chance to buy this thing from somone. Last time I shot it when I was 10 it was full auto, but the previous owner died and the new one claims it was converted back to semi-auto before he died. Before I buy I'd like to know more about it and what it's worth. I haven't tested my theory, but since the bolt is pulled back by hand and drops only when you press the trigger will it also fire? I haven't stuck a mag in and tried it yet, but I'd like to know just in case.
