The 165 grain boat tail tends to be the most accurate in 7mm win mag. I think I buy factory rounds from Hornady, but darned if I can remember for sure.

I use Federal Premium 150gr Nosler Balstic tip and they are wonderful, for paper and meat hunting. I have also loaded some Sierra Match Kings in 150 gr. They are nice and long, low drag bullets.

I assume you will be using this in a rifle not a single shot pistol. Sierra makes a 168gr Matchking bullet that is a hollow point boat tail. with a BC of .494. They also offer a Gameking bullet of 175gr solid point boat tail with a BC of up to .560. Buy the one that fits your requirements. Matchking for target & Gameking for hunting. As a side note the Gameking is pretty damn accurate for a hunting bullet. Go to this page to see the stats for yourself. RG http://www.sierrabullets.com/bullets/index.html

I use 160 gr. Barnes X and have had excellent results on game. One shot kills on mule deer, elk, and caribou. Will also depend on the load,if you handload.

I use the Remington 160 gr. Premier ammo in my Remington 700 and can put them all, from a bench rest, inside a $.50 half dollar at 100 yards all day long. The gun and ammo can shoot better than I can. Started shooting deer with this gun and ammo 10 years ago. Never had to track one more than a couple of yards and never had to shoot twice. With the exception of the one that ran 5 yards down to the bottom of a 40 foot creek, that has been my only problem. Some of my fellow hunters give me grief about "too much gun", but I always seem to end up helping them track the ones they shot with their .243. By no means an expert hunter (never met one, but have come close) but I know what works for me.
