Beretta Mags.

Is it a flat bottom plate or does it have a bit of a foot? If it is flat it may be a browning high power mag rather than a Beretta mag. Both of the mags would have a similar role mark as they would have been made by Mecgar in Italy. Normally the NATO/LUGER marking is found on the Browning mags. The Beretta mag would say "9mm Para". You could also tell by comparing the location of the mag catch notch, as well as the cut out for the slide stop at the top left front of the mag. The angles on the sides are different too.

Okay.......thanks so far. The mag has a flat, blued metal bottom plate, the follower is plastic. I'll take a picture of it compared to my 92FS mag. Thanks guys.

The mag body is more of a gray finish right? If there are any holes at the back, they stagger side to side, not down the middle. Depending on the age of the mag you have, it may not even have any holes. I guess I'd still bet it is a Browning mag not a Beretta one. I've seen dealers make the mistake before. They see "Italy" and "9mm" on a mag and automatically make the assumption that it is for a Beretta.

Yes......the parkerize is more of a gray color. You are saying I bought a High Power mag. The main reason I'm trying to find out is because It is an mag I can't use and am going to auction it. Thanks.

If you can E-mail a good picture of it, I could tell you for sure. If that is an option, show the side with the writing, the back and the bottom if possible. One shot would probably be enough, but several would be the best. I can usually ID mags on sight, but a picture can be a little tougher. One good side shot should do. My E-mail is LRARMSX@HOME.COM
