Crescent manufactured in Norwich from 1888-1893. They merged with N.R. Davis in the early 1900's to form Crescent-Davis. Savage bought began buying the components of Crescent-Davis-Warner and formed a new company which operated until about 1933, when the assets were moved to Chicopee Falls (J. Stevens Arms Co.) Crescent was best known for manufacturing "house brand" shotguns, i.e. shotguns private labeled for retailers, mail-order houses, etc under over 100 trademarks. Today most are valued as shooters, with no collector value. A sxs 12ga. in 100% condition will bring about $200, sidelock actions will bring a bit more and those with exposed hammers a bit less, unless condition is quite good.
