al57, I got my CETME from Century International Arms last week. I've put 200 rds. thru it with zero problems. I'm suprised how accurate it really was. The finished metal left a little to be desired but the wood was great. I'm shooting British NATO spec 7.62 Ball L2A2 ammo. They had that for a good price, too. Make sure you confirm you're getting the chromed and not the Hesse receiver. There's a couple places listed in Gun List and Shotgun News with parts. The only thing I need is a sling. If I'm not mistaken, the Cetme was orginally developed in Spain. HK contracted to build from them at a much later date.Try this thread for more CETME info: http://www.activex.jet.es/apraiz/e_spsteel_cetme.html The model "C" is what's on the market now.I hope this helps.Tideman

If you want a Cetme for under $500. email meat cedarnut@aol.com and I'll send photos ofone I have available. Also, check this guy's site for much Cetme info: http://www.geocities.com/miketheelectrician1/cetme1.html?1006632443870 Cetme's are loud, packed in tons of grease and require some tinkering to get them rolling, but they are fun! 0 -
Yes its a lot of gun for the price . Just be ready to tinker a little .I was forunate to get 1 that was very close to perfect but they all need something, but damn fun to blast. LOL. 0 -
after reading all the data & experiences from the cetme site..im wondering if the G3 sporter from century might not be a better idea...thoughts? 0 -
Have you ever handled and shot a HK 91? I HAD one and they are very user unfriendly. Butt-stocks to short, safety is hard to reach, sights are a joke, no bolt hold on last shot, and harder to fieldstrip than most. In my opinion I would try to find one of the FALs that are around, might be a little more money, but I believe you might be better satisfied. 0 -
