Remington 700mls vs. Knight Disc or White 91
I hunt in Central Illinois in some pretty thick timber. I have hunted for years with a T/C Hawken 50cal. It has always served me well, in fact I harvested a 140 class 10 pointer with it this year. I consider it a much better option than slug/shotguns which are our other option here in Illinois. However, my old steel sights failed me Friday of our second season, a dark drizzley day in the bottom of a deep hollow I had a truly magnificent Buck within 15 yards of me for 15 minutes chasing a big doe and I just couldn't get a good view in my sights. It was well within shooting hours. Therefore, I have decided something with fiber optics or a scope will be the gun of choice next year. I am considering the Rem 700, the Knight Disc, or the White 91 Safari. Could anyone give me any good opinions, testimonials, or good advice on which would be the best choice. I would rarely get a shot over 100 yards, but would like good accuracy at least that far! Thanks, Greg
