.311 bullets in a Mini-30??

I understand the early Mini-30s had .308" bores, and later ones have the standard .311". I know that the Russian and Chinese bullet size is .311", but does American 7.72x39 factory ammo use .311" or .308" bullets? Will .311" copper jacket bullets damage a .308" bore? I don't own a Mini-30 myself, but I know someone who is worried about using factory ammo in his.

  This subject has been discussed extensively on this board. Try "search" for more, but there is no problem for any of the Ruger Mini-30s to use either size bullet.
