Witness 45 ACP
Any first hand experience with a Witness 45 ACP? Quality, accuracy, Dependability, feel, good choice, bad choice? They seem to be priced right, but if its a non trustworthy piece, then I'd rather spend more. Any help? Thanks Paul

Great value for the money. 0 -
I wouldn't have it as my # 1 concealed carry if it wasn't a true performer. I've run probably 1500 rds. through mine [the poly w/wonder finish] and it's never jammed, always dead-on and not too heavy for a full size .45. I do carry in a fannie pack, though. That makes a difference. You'd be hard pressed to find a more dependable .45 for the buckaroos.Tideman

I own one. Full size Witness .45. I think it is the most underated gun on the market today. If you are looking to buy one get it, you will not be sorry. 0 -
Roger all of the above....I had a SS compact and traded it off ...been sorry ever since.. the guy that got it won't let me have it back. The only thing I've ever had that shot better is a 1911 that is bigger than I prefer to carry.... Just my humble opinion.....[This message has been edited by JIM STARK (edited 12-16-2001).] 0 -
These guns do not need the qualifier "for the price" added. They are just plain great guns. I love the grip and the ten rounds of .45ACP. Accurate and reliable. Their only shortcoming (which may not be a shortcoming to some) is that they have no decocker to help in lowering the hammer on a live round. They can be carried cocked and locked, or hammer down either with the safety on or off.I am still looking for a true stainless (not Wonder Finish or Hard Chrome) .38 Super Witness so I can utilize the 19-round magazines I have! (Twenty rounds of .38 Super sounds like a good combination to me.) Any for sale out there? The long-discontinued Springfield P9 is the same basic gun, and I would be interested in any true stainless P9s as well. 0
