I believe that the non-M1911 pattern pistols are what used to be the Bersa line. I am a big fan of the Bersa Thunder 9 (it basically duplicated a Walther P88 for 1/3 the money), which I have found to be very high quality and a brilliant design. The FireStorm MiniFireStorm (is that a redundant name or what?) is a cutdown Bersa Thunder 9. I bought one and am pleased with it, but I never carry it as it is bigger and heavier than a Kel-Tec P11. The smaller caliber pocket pistols are an unknown to me personally, but I think they are considered servicable by those who have them. I am told (but have not confirmed) that the M1911 pattern pistols are the old Llama line. Quality there has been criticized on these boards, but some were happy with their particular pistol.

I have one of the older llama 1911 copies and a new firestorm. Both seem to be made in the same place. (same proof marks, etc.) The llama is of somewhat better quality, mainly in the blueing. All of the parts on both guns seem to interchange with the aftermarket stuff. (ie. Wilson and such)
