Nikko Shotgun
I have a Nikko shotgun, model 199 that I need help identifing. The firearm is deeply engraved with 100% coverage of the receiver which is silver with a gold crown inlaid on the barrel release lever and with a gold adjustable trigger. It is a 12 gage o/u. I have found info on the Model 5000 which were sold as Golden Eagle but nothing on the Model 199. The engraving on the firearm I have is much deeper and more detailed than the ones pictured as Golden Eagles. Can anyone provide any info or direct me to a source?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

From the '98 Blue Book: Nikko Firearms Co. Ltd. and Nikko Arms Co. Ltd. were trade names used by the Kodensha Com. Ltd. of Tochigi, (Nikko Prefecture)Japan on products they manufactured and distributed world wide between about 1958 and 1989. They had a joint venture with Olin for about 25 years, but dumped on Olin and had a number of arrangements for import/exportOver and under shot guns were imported and distributed by several distributors over the years, but I do not find your specific model listed, nor are there values listed. 0 -
I have checked the blue books and any other research books I could find but no listing for the Model 2500. Was hoping there is someone with more knowledge than me on the Nikko. 0 -
Look under Golden Eagle Model 5000 Grade 1 skeet. 0 -
Nope, not a Golden Eagle, I'm familiar with them. 0 -
Ok - I give up. The only two others that come to mind that imported Nikko, was TradeWinds and Kassnar, but I can't find an over and under for either of these.Wish I could have been of some help. 0
