American Arms/ Tristar Silver II O/U
Was getting ready to buy another Ruger Red Label but ran across the American Arms Silver II. Looks like a nice gun for the money. Does anyone know about these guns?

Didn't American Arms go out of business in the last two years?? 0 -
They were purchased by Tristar Sporting Goods out of Kansas City 0 -
I had a Savage 330 with both 12 gauge barrels and 20 gauge barrels, that I traded for a Silver II at a gun show in Ocala, Florida. Mistake - mistake - mistake - mistake. I wanted an over/under with ejectors instead of extractors as I hunt and DON'T shoot those little clay birds. Is the Silver II good looking - you bet. Is it nice to have choke tubes instead of fixed chokes - you bet. BUT......the length of pull on the butt stock isn't correct for me and even worse the drop at the heel is WAY - WAY too little for me. I had a gunsmith install an adjustable butt pad that the clay bird shooters use - and set as far down as it will go it is just barely enough at the heel for me.If I had it to do over again, I would traded the Savage 330 and the two barrels off plus some to boot for a Ruger Red Label. It's lenght of pull and drop at the heel works for me - the Silver II does not. 0 -
thanks quail hunter for your insight, guess I will go with the Ruger 0 -
I have all gauges in the American Arms Silver II. For me they fit perfect. I love them. It is too bad they went out of business. 0
