marlin 1897
What would a marlin 1897 22 cal. lever action rifle worth that is missing parts where the firing pin and housing should be?And can you find parts for such a gun?

I have a Marlin Model 1897, and after checking serial #'s in the Blue Book found the rifle was made in 1897. I would rate the condition at somewhere close to 80% overall with case coloring NRA Fine (30-80%). 24" Round barrell, take-down, full length tube magazine and has the original Lyman, Marbles, Beaches site combo. With all of this and the fact it is a first year production, any ideas as to value? 0 -
it wouldn't be worth more than 50 bucks. As it is a parts gun. However contact the outfit ---1stingunparts.com---for parts to complete your rifle. Then you can get between 200 to 1000 for it. 0
