Care of fire arms

I have several firearms that have never been fired. How do you care for these guns since the cyl. has never been turned and they have never been fired.I am really insterested in the nickel plated guns and the guns with gold or brass plating.How do you clean a colt ssa 45 with out turning the cyl.or a winchester 45 rifle without working the action.
