9mm shotshell?
Have a gun that has a smooth bore, a bolt action, and an 18" barrel. The markings are- FL 9M C./ "BREVETE", (S.G.D.) "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES de GUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE". Then a mark on the stock- F/N in a circle. I was told this is a 9mm shotshell gun. Ever hear of such?

What you have I believe is a 9MM Flobert or sometimes called a parlor rifle. It takes a 9MM flobert round which looks like a small brass cased shotgun shell. It is rim fire like a 22 caliber. Fiochi still produces the 9MM Flobert round. I have a couple of 50 round boxes in stock for $17.95 + shipping if interested. 0 -
I believe you hit the nail right on the head. It is a rimfire. I'm having my gunsmith inspect it before I shoot it as it is old and shows signs of wear for the worse although all parts seem to operate alright. It seems to be a rare gun- maybe it would be as well to hang it on the wall for conversation. Of course if it checks out o.k., I won't be able to resist a shot or two beforehand. If I need the ammo.-I'll let you know. Thanks!! 0
