KAHR MK9
Thinking about getting a used KAHR MK9 Stainless. It comes with two mags and holster. The gun is on the heavy side, but I like the size. The trigger is pretty smooth for a DAO gun. Asking price is $400 with a Milt Sparks IWB leather holster. But, I think it's the wrong size holster because it fits a little short in the muzzle. (and it says K9 on the back of it)Any comments on reliability and accuracy are appreciated. Oh, and before you say why not a Glock 26? I had one and didn't like it as much as my Glock 19, and I already have a S&W 442 DAO 38 and a Kimber Ultra Carry 45.Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Maybe. The only thing I don't really like about it is the plastic guide rod. I went to the KAHR website and they list a SS guide rod for $40 that might have to be fitted.Roy

Anyone have any comments on the MK9? I'm going to take a closer look at it this afternoon and need to know what to look for and how to do it. I've never owned/shot a KAHR.Roy 0 -
The kahrs are my absolute favorite carry weapon. Extremely reliable, Equally accurate,(you have to learn the trigger pull)and just a great pistolIt is a bit heavy, all steel, but I love it as a pocket gun. I can walk around with my hand on it in a low shirt pocket. People can't sneak up on you that way, at night or in parking lots, etc. That is a good price. You may be able to do better, but it would be hard. Does it require paper, or is it a personal sale. The personal sale is legal without paper, but you have to check to make sure its' not stolen. I just ask a cop to run the number for me, and explain the situation before I buy. I would also tell you to consider the MK 40. It has better stopping power than a 9. I have both.Hope that helpsEric 0 -
WOW...That's a very good price! ($400.) I paid $675.00 for a used MK9- but it's the special one..."Covert elite 98", Polished Stainless (not matte), Night sights, trigger job (custom shop), xtra mag..What a finely made piece of machinery! The trigger is the smoothest of all my DA's, small and powerfull for it's size...classy too. never a issue feeding- even HP's. I love it, but considering a trade in on another gun I have my eye on...they hold their value well too! this one's shot 100 rounds so far, and I hear that 200 rounds to be considered "broken in" and the trigger will get better, although I can't see how the trigger can get any better than this..
Any feedback about the trade in value on these models? or should I sell it outright? lemme know...0 -
GO FOR IT!! I carry my Kahr all the time, it's the favorite one. The one you are looking at is priced very good, with the holster. 0
