Winchester question
Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but anyway, I was going thru my fathers gun cabinet and came across a Winchester model 65, It said it was a 30 WCP of 30WCF caliber. Is this possible as I cannot find any in the Blue Book that say such a caliber. The gun is in 90-95% condition all original.

I just looked through the latest catalog and there is no listing for any Winchester chambered in .450 marlin, I wonder, is Winchester trying to compete with Marlin, lets hope, I love my little 450 but I like competition, maybe a shortend .458 or a 450 WSm.......I await with joy, need more details, I am growing dizzy with anticipation!

Folks it`s a little more simple than that..let`s come right out with it...the the co-worker don`t know what he is talking about. To some people think every John Wayne lookin` levergun is a Winchester, just like some peaple think every 99 Savage is a 300 Savage.I had a guy tell me he wanted a 243 Remington..after asking a few questions it turns out he was talking about a 742 in 243.About a year later another guy came into a shop where I was helping out,and wanted a "243 semi automatic, strictly a Remington"So I says " Like a 742?"...he says,in a know it all way"NO,...A 243!!"Sorry S.O.B....deserved to be kicked in the cods!!.281 0 -

Nov issue Guns&Gear pg 30: Talking about Browning re-introducing the Winchester Model 1895 in .270 Quote "As any gun guy would have predicted, shooters ignored the gun, leaving Browning with a lot of guns and no market ... they are rebarreling them in .405 Winchester"Its as close as I could come to the 450 winchester remark-Ralph

I read today, saw it with my own eyeballs.....Winchester is producing a Custom Shop gun in............ .450 Marlin......I just wonder if this is waht he might have read, besides, I got a call in to my local dealer to see what he will sell it for, anyone have any ideas or maybe a price I might be in the market.

REB Jr... Interesting, Browning rebarelling it's m1895/.270 to .405. Winchester itself is sitting on top of its entire run of its m95s in 405 even after 2 years since production was over. Could it be that the original m95 in .405 had a much stronger receiver than any of the other calibers? I wonder if they are blowing up in post production tests?? 0
