Benelli M1 recoil reducer
Gentlemen,I have a Benelli M1 Super 90 with pistol grip style shoulder stock. I have a low tolerance for the pounding recoil this gun produces. I have heard of a mercury filled recoil reducer device. What gives? Are they effective? I shattered my right wrist many years ago and don't want to wear it out prematurely. BTW, the problem that I had with the gun not cycling properly was attributed to firing old shells which had swelled from moisture. New shells work just fine.

My first response would be what kind of loads are you wanting to shoot....target, field, slugs? I'd try going to a lighter load first to see if this helps. I have put mercury reducers in other shotguns, and could tell a difference. Our own Rosie once suggested putting weight inside the stock, says it has the same effect as a recoil reducer. 0 -
Benelli sells them, you could contact their technical dept. and I'm sure they could give you more detail. 0 -
I too recently read about this product in the Benelli website and after some hunting, found one for around $40. Where exactly does this recoil reducer attatch to? I just bought my M1 Super 90 last weekend and am not familiar with shotguns at all.thanks,Smooth
