Japanese Jinsen Arsenal Rifle Type 99
I have purchased 2 rifles to add to my collection, and cannot find any referrence to one of them. This rifle has a barrel about 5 inches shorter then standard. Still full military configuration, is it Japanese issue, or has someone altered it? It is a last ditch rifle. Thanks rearm

The type 99 also came in a "short rifle" version, with a 25.8 in barrel the "long version being 31.4".So it probably is as issued 0 -

Dear REARMAre you certain it is a Type 99?99's were made in 24 and 30" (approx) length. THe paratroop version of the 99 (Type2) was the same 24" as the standard 99. Type 38's came in an 18" bbl as well as a 30"morty (mkood@prodigy.net) 0
