SLUGS???
I am going hunting with my new shotgun which I bought a slug barrel for....i know this may sound stupid but when at the store I seen two different kind of slugs...sabot and "the other kind", what is the difference because the sabot is so much more expensive....thanks for your time

Sabot slugs are made for rifled barrels they tend to tumble when fired through smooth bores.Traditional rifled slugs are made for smooth bore barrels. 0 -
If you are fortunate enough to have bought a rifled slug barrel, and not a smooth bore slug barrel, take a box of Remington Copper Solids to the range and try them out, they are awesome when shot through my rifled slug barrel. If shooting smooth bore, just shoot the Winchester rifled slug, its also a good but inexpensive round I've always had good luck with.

I agree with Robsguns.I also notice a considerable reduction in recoil when using sabots/rifled barrel compared to foster/smooth barrel. 0 -
I just recently purchased a Mossberg 500 with a 28" smooth bore barrel. What kind of accuracy can I hope to get? I'd like to be able to hit the 5' steel gongs at 75 yards at the range I go. Is this the kind of accuracy I can hope for? 0
