where a gun came from
I bought a gun a couple years ago from an older gentleman and I am trying to find out where it came from and if it is possible to buy parts to repair it. It is a 12-gauge pump shotgun with an exposed hammer. It appears to be quite old, possibly from the early 1900's but I am not sure. The markings on the barrell say: National Fire Arm Company but I can't seem to find anyone who has ever heard of them. If anyone has ever heard of this company, or knows if they were bought out or taken over, I would love to have this information. Thanks!!!

I looked thru Flayderman and Gun Traders Guide and neither mentioned it. Showed National Arms Co but that was before slide action shotguns. 0 -
Does it have any other markings as to where it was manufactured - National Arms was another Crescent name made for May Hardware stores, but as stated these were for Double barrel and singles prior to pump action. Any more info is appreciated... 0 -
Let me revise the above - In the 3rd Edition of Gunmarks by Robert H. Balderson, The National Firearms Co. was a trade name of Hopkins & Allen used on rifles, c. 1900. My other books of course list Hopkins & Allen but have no mention of a pump shotgun - only doubles and singles. Stumped again!!! 0
