Are S&W "L" Frame Revolvers Shrinking?
Yesterday I went to my local gun shop looking to buy a S&W 357 revolver. I looked at a model 686-6, and when I was holding it, it seemed smaller than one I sold a while back. I used to have a model 681 (supposedly the same size L frame) that was a few years old and I swear that it was larger. Does anyone know if they really did shrink the frame size on the 686/681 line of revolvers or am I going crazy? Also, the new revolvers don't seem like they're made as well as the old ones. Thanks everyone.

Frame is the same. Most have the smaller round butt. 0 -
Thanks everyone, it's good to know they aren't shrinking. It was probably the smaller grip that made it seem puny.

Hey Chapp - you never did say how the BS went with your MA employer. You doing OK? 0 -
I found an attorney and he has started the paperwork, depositions, etc., but it's a lengthy process. I am working with some head hunters right now to find something else.
