In a quality scope the image should be crisp and clear from edge to edge.

There's a reason why Leapers scopes are so cheap. If you want a Leupold, buy a Leupold. I have seen decent Leapers and I've seen complete crap Leapers. Don't they have a warranty? Send it back, the next one might be OK.

He Dog, it's clear and very crisp when looking straight into it and when you move your head 1/8" either way. The guy at the range said it was no good. The guy at the gun store looked through it and said he could shoot the branch off of a tree 100 yards across the street. I went to Sports authority, and every scope (about 10) that I checked out seemed the same. When you move your head up, down, left or right, it becomes grey and blurry. My leapers becomes blurry, not grey. I think it's probably o.k. except for the scre that broke out of it.

QUAMNET! I sent the other one back today 11/23. Probably will take another week to get a new one back. I have noticed that all scopes that are variable, 3-9, 4-12 or whatever have this same screw, BUT the scope I had came with this tiny, little, I mean small screw holding the dial in the correct position. I am surprised that they would allow such a small screw to do the job. I have looked at other Leapers, simmons, and Bushnells and noticed that they have the same screw but it is larger. I asked the guys at gun accessories if they can just take that particular scope back and maybe credit me for either a different Leapers or Bushnell etc. scope. The one thing I am now looking for are the Adjustment screws. I have seen both Bushnells and Simmons that have a fingertip adjuster, it eliminates the use of a screwdriver which is nice. I mean, we all don't adjust our scopes too often, but on those breezy days, the hell with the screwdriver. I will post an update but for noe, if you are looking at one, remember that screw that I am talking about on the variables.

I got leaper 3x9x40 on a 10/22 it works great.I also have smaller one on a SKS that is isn't worth a fidlers fart.I think the SKS has to much "snap" to it to keep it sighted in.the recoil knocks it out of wack. But on the other hand,it is on a SKS useing surplus loads.........that could be the problem as well.

Well I mailed the "bad" one back, let's see what happens. It might have been a friday in the factory.
