what kind of receiver is this built on? any feedback as far as recoil, accuracy, and dependability?

I have the Fed. Arms catalog and it is their own "pat. pend." design. Before buying one you should personally inspect it, as I know that some are rather flimsy. I haven't personally seen the Fed. Arms, but I have their CETME, and it seems well built. It was also $110 less. The felt recoil is mild on the CETME and at 100yd has good accuracy. There was a 50rd. break in period in which the shells were ejecting erratically and stovepiping, which I hear is common. The next 100rd. fired without a flinch. No matter what their catalog says FAC doesn't make anything.Their guns come from Century or Hesse usually,unless genuine surplus.Email Harlan at FAC and he will respond with correct and truthful answers,unlike the advertising dept. 0 -
I'm selling Cetmes, so I'm not unbiased, but a couple of years ago people were paying $900and up for guns of this quality. The chopped up parts kits were selling for as much or more than complete functional guns sell for now. Forget the endless which is best Fal, Cetme, G3, etc? Any one of them is better than no semiauto .308 at all.You'll have to strip the gun, clean a ton of grease and go through a break in period.But you'll be glad you did when you're done!These are great guns for the money and Iwould have dozens of each in my personal collection if I could afford it.
