scope mount for 30 carbine

My wife is jealous that I installed a scope and mount on my ak-47, now she wants one on her 30 cal. carbine. I Need some advise. What type of mount would you or would you not recommend and why.   I have a mount--new in package w/instructions. Sells for $24.95, replaces the rear sight.
