Query: The self defence ammo I keep in my side arm does not get used very often, how long before it needs to be replaced with some new stuff?

  Each to their own, I reckon, but I rotate mine every 6 months and shoot up the old at the range. And i don't claim to be an expert, it's just what I do. In theory, the ammo *ought* to be fine for a long time.
