Your gunsmith is putting in a new trigger system.Eithe a Rock River or a JP I would bet.Trigger jobs can be done on them by you.Get the book"The Complete Guide to AR15 Accuracy" by Derrick Martin and Barrett Tillman. You can buy the triggers yourself and install them. The AR is simple to work on .cpermd

I installed a JP trigger in an AR and am happy with it. It took a bit of fiddling, grinding and careful adjustment to get right. $35 for labor isn't too much for the effort. The trigger pull is great but it's 3-3/1/2#. If you want a single stage trigger, this may be all you can expect.Jewel makes a trigger that can go a pound or so below the JP but it's double stage and about $50 more expensive.

Hello again,Thank for the response guys.I have a question. How does the double stage trigger work.? I was thinking of going with the jewell but really not sure of the two stage. Thanks Gerald

The jewell works on ball bearings I believe. It is truly the finest trigger I have ever owned. The two stage trigger has 2 stages of creep before it breaks. I believe this type was desinged for soldiers to shoot with gloves on or to not accidently fire a round in combat because of the stress and tense situations. I could be wrong but this is how I find the two stage triggers to feel. They creep, then they hit a solid point, then they creep, then they break.
