Ruger P97
There is allot of bullets out there which ones do you recomend going to relaod my own. Really don't know much about hand guns, thanks for your time.

I just bought the Ruger P97 yesterday!! Did I make a mistake? I have heard this is a good gun!! I couldn't pass up on the price though!!! 0 -
no..you didnt..i love mine as do countless others i have talked to. there isnt a better DA .45 auto made, regardless of price. 0 -
ive shot a 97.....i liked it a lot....however....i hate those polyemer grips....especially when your hands get sweaty 0 -
I have put more than 6,000 through mine. No problems after I learned which handloads it liked. It shoots better than I can.

Mine eats everything. It is the only pistol in my safe that I have done nothing to. The only thing I think I can improve is the sights (with night sights) but I have plenty of guns with those so not a real must have. Hits very well, as long as I do my part. Great gun! 0 -
Can someone explain to me the Decocker feature on the P97? Releases the hammer if you don't want to shoot but is that all? Is that the only safety feature??? Any info would help... Thanks 0 -
AZ,Read the manual that came with the gun; Ruger includes one with every gun they sell (if you didn't get one, call them and they'll send one right out).The decocker, drops the hammer safely; the other saftey features are automatic--you disengage them as you pull the trigger--it all should be explained in your manual. 0 -
My two cents. I own a ruger P94DC .40 cal and have also never had any problems with it(except the time I was in a hurry and put the guide rod in backwards which was my fault LOL!). My gunsmith told me that in his opinion Ruger makes the best handguns on the planet, and that if he could have any handgun no matter what the price, he would choose a Ruger over all other. That says a lot coming from him because he is all knowing when it comes to guns. Also I can feed my .40 any brand off ammo and it feeds and spits like clock work everytime. 0
