    Well it's valuable....now as to how valuable that's a good question. First thing you need to do is send for a letter from the Cody museum to make sure you rifle matches up with what it should have been from the factory. Assuming it matches, the value has everything to do with condition and the level of the wood on it. It could be worth from a low of $850 up to $3800; and beyond that if it is in truly exceptional condition. The thing is you really need a Winchester collector to give you an accurate appraisal for YOUR rifle. BeachP.S. If someone quotes you on the low side and offers to buy it from you get a second opinion before you part with it. Although not necessarily as desired as 1886's these are a very desired rifle and your caliber is a good one.
